Our Projects

Curious about our work? Check out what we’ve accomplished:

Red Oak Energy

Red Oak is a 766 MW  combined cycle gas turbine facility that uses proven low heat rate Siemens 501F technology with state of the art emissions controls.  Located in the Borough of Sayreville, New Jersey, the plant has been one of the most important resources for delivering safe, reliable electricity supply to Northern New Jersey since 2002.  Red Oak is interconnected to JCP&L’s transmission network and participates in PJM’s wholesale electricity markets.

Bayonne Energy Center

The Bayonne Energy Center is a 644 MW dual-fuel generating facility comprised of ten operating simple-cycle aero-derivative units that utilize state of the art emissions controls.  The plant was constructed in two phases with the first commencing commercial operations in 2012 and an expansion coming online in 2018.  Located in Bayonne, New Jersey, the plant provides power to Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc.’s Gowanus 345 kV substation in Brooklyn, NY through a dedicated 6.75-mile high-voltage AC cable system consisting of two underground segments and one submarine segment beneath the Hudson River.

Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Project Developments

TigerGenCo is actively engaged in the development and acquisition of development stage energy transition and renewable energy projects.  The company is focused on utility-scale developments include solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen, and biofuels projects.

TigerGenCo is currently developing a Battery Energy Storage System enhancement to the Bayonne Energy Center.  The 50 MW 4-hr project has been under development since 2019 and is expected to begin operations in 2025.

Health and Safety

The Health and Safety of our employees, contractors, and surrounding community is of top priority to TigerGenCo. In 2023, the facilities continued to achieve the completion of all employee Health and Safety training requirements, engaged our contractors on Health and Safety performance, and coordinated onsite exercises with local emergency responses departments.
